The room was packed when on March 12th, Nicola Pritchard-Pink gave our members and guest a talk on one of the UK’s most famous authors of all time:
Janes Austen came to life as we followed her from her birthplace in Hampshire on to Bath and Bristol and back again, while learning about her wit and, at times, caustic tongue when characterising her contemporaries.
The picture shows the – still unusually large – party of the traditional dinner together with our lecturer that concluded the evening.
